POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY

Outward Round Romania owns the Erasmus+ Accreditation in the field of Youth since 2020. We created an action plan for the period 2021-2027 for the following target groups: disadvantaged and mainstream young persons, youth workers and youth NGOs.

During the 7 years we are going to:

  • create a strong local and international network of youth NGOs in order to share best practices and working methods.
  • develop the soft and hard skills of the youth workers, enlarge their toolkits and theoretical/practical knowledge about working with groups using non-formal methods
  • develop the key competences, raise the awareness of the young persons about environmental sustainability and contribute to their inclusion

During the fourth year we implemented the following Mobilities in order to contribute to the set objectives:

About the project:  It`s a 4-day training course, designed for youth workers, with a focus on human potential and positive aspects of human experience and how to leverage it to make life more meaningful, fulfilled and successful. Research-based practices and tools are the main value that positive psychology offers to trainers and coaches.

The program’s main goal: is to gain theoretical knowledge about Positive Psychology, Resilience, Emotions, and Flow.

Gaining experience about how these work on a program/training, and getting hands-on tools to implement these on a personal level and also on the programs, in order to increase well-being and learning experience for both trainers and participants.

Specific objectives of the project are:

-to understand the fundamental principles and theories of positive psychology;

-to develop practical skills to enhance well-being, resilience, and happiness;

-to apply evidence-based strategies to foster personal growth and improve professional practices;

– to cultivate a growth mindset and identify strengths to achieve goals and foster meaningful relationships.

The elements of the program:

Main program points:

– Positive Psychology toolbox for trainers;

– The art of resilience: help your participants thrive in challenging times;

– Optimal emotions for learning;

– The state of flow as a catalyst for deeper and more impactful learning;

Results:

The program fostered self-awareness, built resilience, personal growth and improved professional practices;  taught participants the fundamental principles and theories of positive psychology and their toolbox. By getting practical information they are more capable of taking initiative, setting goals for themselves and of achieving them.
