Goal
The main goal of our project is to support the personal and professional development of 50 young teachers from three Transylvanian counties through a two-day training on non-formal outdoor education. The program provides professional development in experiential and outdoor pedagogy, enabling participants to apply these methods in their own schools with their students.
Program elements: Get to know each other and team-building activities, practical workshops in small groups, including: connection with nature, cooperation development, treasure hunt, recycling, crate climbing, creating a mandala
Project results
R1: 50 teachers from 28 schools in three Transylvanian counties were empowered to use six essential skills in their educational work, supporting facilitation, motivation, inclusion, and student engagement, as well as conflict resolution among students.
R2: Participants became able to use at least 10 new tools and activities to organize “School Otherwise” and “Green Week” educational programs more efficiently in 28 schools, reaching about 250 students. The teachers learned how to build effective programs, how to facilitate learning, and how to reflect on experiences in ways that are meaningful for daily life.
R3: The young teachers expanded their methodological knowledge on how to approach environmental topics and ecological thinking with students in an engaging way, motivating them to adopt a greener lifestyle.
R4: The young teachers became more confident in their expertise and more determined to achieve their educational goals. They experienced that they are capable of more and gained stronger self-belief as professionals.
