Cooperation Well
Outward Round Romania owns the Erasmus+ Accreditation in the field of Youth since 2020. We created an action plan for the period 2021-2027 for the following target groups: disadvantaged and mainstream young persons, youth workers and youth NGOs.
During the 7 years we are going to:
- create a strong local and international network of youth NGOs in order to share best practices and working methods.
- develop the soft and hard skills of the youth workers, enlarge their toolkits and theoretical/practical knowledge about working with groups using non-formal methods
- develop the key competences, raise the awareness of the young persons about environmental sustainability and contribute to their inclusion
During the second year we implemented the following Mobilities in order to contribute to the set objectives:
- Heartland: 08-16.09.2023
- Green Changemakers: 26.10-06.11.2023
- Solution Focus in Youth work: 20-28.11.2023
- Adventure and Learning Conference: 06-11.12.2023

Our main goal:
The program aims to bring in-depth knowledge through practice & experience to the participants of the training on how to create a sustainable communicational (work-)environment, where they learn how to communicate, cooperate, and altogether: perform under pressure.
Specific objectives of the project were:
- a better understanding of the supporting theories
- go on a two-night expedition
- personal development: to enhance the quality and the durability of a program
- practicing sustainable methodologies
- big decision-making process
- self-managed & facilitated program creation
- self-directed learning space
The elements of the program:
Team building activities, ropes course, learning through experience, expedition, deep dive in the methodologies, exploration of tools through practice, debriefing sessions, closing
Results of the projects:
Participants learned through experience how to translate into practice methodologies that bring sustainability to the process of communication and cooperation. They’ve got a better understanding of the supporting theories, the ways groups work, the contextual priorities in the group dynamics, and also of how they can use all these back in their own environment.
By implementing their freshly gained knowledge they will be able to perform better under pressure.
Feedback from the participants:
“I would recommend to my friends who like outdoors this training, also if they want to improve their trainer’s skills.”
“This course taught me in a very different way than I was expecting it to. I learned some new theories and methods as well, but the most valuable outputs are all the feelings I faced, I dealt with and the decisions I took.”
“I wanted to challenge myself by being here, but I did not expect so much challenging. I recognize the power of OB programs and the professionalism of the journey and I’d like to come back in the future.”
“Training had a very clear goal from the trainer’s side and they adapted very well to support participants throughout the process. I felt that a lot of care and individual approaches were related to the participants’ needs. Thank you for your hard work and putting your soul into this.”
