Pathfinder-2022

Outward Round Romania owns the Erasmus+ Accreditation in the field of Youth since 2020. We created an action plan for the period 2021-2027 for the following target groups: disadvantaged and mainstream young persons, youth workers and youth NGOs.

During the 7 years we are going to:

  • create a strong local and international network of youth NGOs in order to share best practices and working methods.
  • develop the soft and hard skills of the youth workers, enlarge their toolkits and theoretical/practical knowledge about working with groups using non-formal methods
  • develop the key competences, raise the awareness of the young persons about environmental sustainability and contribute to their inclusion

During the first year we implemented the following Mobilities in order to contribute to the set objectives:

  1. Contact Making Seminar: 01-07.04.2022
  2. Pathfinder Training Course: 20-31.07.2022

Our main goal:

SUSTAINABLE RESILIENCE-SYSTEM
In this program the participants learn to create their own resilience system, adapted to their specific needs and conditions.
LEADING & FOLLOWING

We lead, we follow, and although this happens often and naturally, we rarely
realize what are our patterns, what is sustainable for us and what needs adjustment. During the program the participants can face their patterns.
RECONNECTION & REDEFINITION

It is important to check in with ourselves from time to time, in order to identify
change, adapt ourselves to the current circumstances and to our network.
APPRECIATION TOWARDS NATURE

We are part of nature and nature is part of us. We have to experience the
challenges what nature offers to us as a present, in order to realize where we are in life, to celebrate our successes and to know in which direction we want to take our next step as a leader, as a team member, as an adult.

The elements of the program:

energizers, personal development processes, team building&problem solving, water expedition, raft building, rafting, navigation, preparation activities for the expedition, the expedition, debriefing the expedition, land art, sharing sessions about their methods, tools and organizations, reflection activities in groups, pairs, solo time, closing activities

Results:

  • participants were highly satisfied, most of them constantly over passed their limits, not just once, breakthroughs were happening.
  • deeper knowledge about the physical and emotional safety of participants during outdoor programs
  • enlarged professional networking
