Journey of ThisAbility

Journey of ThisAbility was a Youth Exchange project organized between 10-19 of October at Sovata, and 27 young people participated on it. They arrived from 5 different country: Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Latvia, and Romania, with the goal of increase their self-confidence, trust in others, expand their personal boundaries and bring to the surface their hidden abilities.

EWOCA3

ewoca³ is a funding programme for youth work institutions from North Rhine-Westphalia, supporting and enabling international youth encounters. The concept follows the idea of invitation and return invitation: Youths from three countries realise three international workcamps over the course of three years – one in each country.

Graduaction

The project is designed for young people who are just finishing or freshly graduated their higher education, aged between 20-30 years from 7 different European countries – Romania, Hungary, Portugal, Poland, Turkey, Finland and France.

Young entrepreneurs

The participants of this project were unemployed young people or young people, living in rural areas or small towns, aged between 18-25 years. They gathered together is Sovata, Romania, where the main organizer Asociatia Polihistor Excellentia with the help of the local partner Outward Bound Romania introduced different types of activities with the main aim  to contribute to the development of their courage in initiative taking and their entrepreneurial spirit. Through the project we gave to the participants tools and skills for starting their own business or initiating their own projects.

SAFE YOUTH technical training

This technical training is designed for youth workers with the goal to teach them technical skills about climbing, belaying low and high ropes course elements, building and using them in an educational way.

Give more power to your engine!

The youth exchange entitled ”Give more power to your engine!”  intended to bring together 27 unemployed young people aged between 16-25 years, and 6 group leader from 6  different European countries (Romania, Italy, Latvia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Austria) to Sovata and Gurghiului Mountains, Romania. Our main goal was to help the participants to improve their self confidence, their active job seeking and also entrepreneurship skills. This project was financed by The Youth in Action Program of the European Commission.

Outward Bound Entrepreneur-Ship

The main goal of the project Outward Bound Entrepreneur-Ship was to stimulate young people's spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship, employability with outdoor educational methods and activities while building lasting relationships with youth in China (Hong Kong).

We are all entrepreneurs!

Almost 40 young people participated from orphanages and families on this Youth Exchange - a proiect financed by European Commision Youth in Action program. They had the opportunity to know themselves better, to grow their selfconfidence and their confidence in others. The main goal was to develop their entrepreneurial skills.

EMYLT - ethnic minority youth leadership training

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
We implemented John Quincy’s words in a leadership training funded by the Youth In Action Programme of the European Commission. Between 24th of July - 2nd of August, 2012, 30 young people gathered to learn, to test themselves, to gain experience in leadership.

Growing by doing

Outward Bound participated as organizational partner in the Growing by doing project organized by BAGázs Public Benefit Organization. Voluntary work was made as the central theme of the exchange and was elaborated with the methods of Experimental Education. It included 28 young individuals from Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Check Republic, most of them living in disadvantaged life circumstances.

Nosce te ipsum (Know Thyself)

During our training your self-confidence will grow. You will learn to communicate your feelings and ideas assertively without hurting or intimidating others. You will be amazed at your creative thinking and your "I can do it!" feeling is going to expand even into those fields you previously thought were outside your comfort zone.

Your Disability, Your Opportunity!

During this youth change we had participants with physichal disabilities and healthy young people. They had the opportunity to know themselves better, to grow their selfconfidence and their confidence in others. The importance of this youth change was to encourage young people with physical disabilities to play an active role in their communities.

Stepping outdoors - European Voluntary Service

The EVS project, entitled Stepping Outdoors, will be organized by Outward Bound Romania –hosting and coordinating organization- in partnership with the Hungarian Élményakademia Közhasznú Egyesület -sending- and the Slovak INEX -sending-  organizations. The project will be running between the 1st of August 2014 and 30th of March 2016 with the participation of 2 volunteers from Hungary and Slovakia.

No Limits!

The purpose of the training was to learn specific and professional training methods and to develop the proper skills in order to be able to work with young people with physical disabilities. Because of their disabilities, these people are often socially excluded. Through our course we trained and specialised a number of 24 youth workers who will are now able to deal with the specific problems of this target group.
